I have no scars from doing it so why do they tell you not to. I used to get instant relief from pain when the spot burst

Hi i do it all the time with spots and pimples, like you say it relives the spot and goes down in a matter of days.I know people who leave them and they leave the white head till it comes right out and it massive, but the thing is this leaves a bigger hole and this is how i think the scars happen. As soon an a spot appears i get it out straight away. And i have no problem.

I think it's more to do with introducing the risk of infection, but I picked and squeezed spots too, I got a few infected spots, but nothing to worry about. I don't think it's anything to do with getting scars.

I'm 31 and have spots. Where once a squeezing wouldn't leave a scar, now I'm marked where I've tried to relieve the pressure.
It's best to get into good habits young. Trust me.

My guess is that they thought it would spread the infection around and you would get more zits!!
I did it too with no ill effects and I agree about the pain, but if you want pain try having a baby with no drugs ! LOL

I STILL BURST SPOTS + BOILS. THE SCARS COME WHEN IT SCABS OVER AND YOU PICK THE SCAB OFF. I LIKE TO PICK THE SCABS OFF, AS THE DRIED IN BLOOD LEAVES SOME LOVLEY PATTERS ON THE SCAB AS U HOLD UP TO LIGHT. THE SCARS ARE WHERE NO CAN SEE. ENJOY.

some ppl have sensitive skin and leave scars. im the same way u r. my skin doesnt scar after picking at anything.

You were probably very lucky, you apparently never got an infection. An infection can still happen so believe your doctor.

spreading the infected spots to the areas near the spots, causing more....... thats why you shouldnt pick
