The strategy is working beautifully, but it's hardly an original thought. Osama is no evil genius. Dividing people into groups so that you can set them against each other is a tactic as old as war itself. You know, "divide and conquer."
The sad part is that people still haven't learned. They allow themselves to be pitted against each other instead of compromising. As soon as one side gives an inch, the other side takes a mile. They give bills names like, "The Fairness Doctrine," which is anything but fair. However, when your senator votes against it, it sounds bad, doesn't it?

What Are You Talking About?, what's going on with america has nothing to do with:
" This media campaign will tell the American people that their Government will bring them only more losses in finances and casualties"
They're Actually The Facts of What's Been Going On For A Very Long Time Now, Regardless Of The Media.
And,
If this "Campaign" does "Defeat" America with a media campaign to devide the citizens, then all the better.
HOPE THIS HELPS.

A strategy even older is to commit the most horrible atrocities imaginable.
The enemy loses their will to fight.
As terrible as the wars with the Indians were, I think it was part of the plan, on by both sides.
The strategy didn't work. Only sheer numbers defeated the Indians.
The other thing that failed, was divide and conquer.
It does appear to be working now. One need only listen to the hatred inside our own country.
It's evident in the news media, even throughout this Board Q &A. Listen to the politicians.

No. The divisions are not created from outside but are a reflection of genuine disagreement.
I'm guessing that you're a GOP supporter looking to discredit those who dare to question the President and his policies by somehow suggesting that they're unpatriotic, just as decorated war heroes John Kerry, John Murtha and Max Cleland had their patriotism attacked in the 2004 elections.
"Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel." (Samuel Johnson)
Face it, there is nothing patriotic about blind obedience; questioning authority is the most purely American thing a person can do.

Americans are not stupid. You think this country hangs on every word coming out of the medias' mouth ? No.
Bin Laden is a fool of the biggest order and his feeble
media campaign will not work. He is a pig that has gone underground (probably in that wonderful country of Iran) and one day he will meet his Waterloo.

It has unquestionably worked. The liberal media in this country is but an extension of the liberal Democrats and the Democrats are the biggest ally Bin-Laden and the terrorists have in the world. Not even Iran and Syria are as supportive of Bin-Laden or as hateful toward America as are liberal Democrats.
Patriots would do well to remember this an November.

tell me this. If a guy burned down an house development crammed with human beings in "The call of God and the Holy Ghost" and then a twelve months or so later somebody had to construct a church there, if my kinfolk were killed by making use of that guy, i may well be a splash green with envy to the guy desirous to construct a church on the valuables the place harmless human beings have been killed in the call of that faith. A church, mosque, and so on may well be outfitted everywhere in u.s., yet development it close to the 911 internet site, understanding that such issues will divide individuals, seems very suspiciouse to me, you be attentive to?.. i'm taken with religiouse freedom yet COME ON..

Isn't the beauty of America the idea of individualism. We are free to think and feel how we please provided it is not against the law. There are proponents and opponents for the war.... or differences in opinion of how and why it's happening... but the one thing we are blessed with and our military was established to defend is our right to disagree...
The key here is, it is not other people spreading propaganda we need to worry about... no matter how left or right you are, none of us know the whole truth about anything going on and so therefore of course we will be free to develop our own opinions... NOT ONE F*CKING PERSON IN POLITICS AND BIG BUSINESS CAN GIVE US A STRAIGHT ANSWER ABOUT ANYTHING...
HUMANS CRAVE CONSISTENCY... LIES AND MISDIRECTING ONLY GOES TO FUEL CHAOS!

It's as simple as "United we stand, divided we fall" Americans will not let this happen. In spite of the lunatic left liberal media, "the truth will out" True red blooded Americans love their country and, it does seem at times we are nodding off, but don't let that fool you, no one is going to take away our blessed freedoms and beliefs, and we will die defending them don't ever believe otherwise.

It won't work because as divided as we can be, we unite very quickly when a major event occurs.
This isn't a new plan, by the way, the USSR long believed that our weak democracy would tear itself apart and prevent us from offering unified force. History has shown otherwise
