Are gas prices high (city driving) with an SUV.. like a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo? How much to fill a tank and does it go quickly?

It costs about $60 to fill a 20 gallon tank and because of the weight of the SUV, it burns more gas to get it going. If you like to accelerate fast and step down on the pedal more will use up more gas.

Driving SUV's in the city is really bad for mpg's.
The engine burns the most gas under load, like moving from a stopped position, as this happens a lot in city driving. The heavier the car/bigger the engine, the worse it gets.

my mother has an Expedition, we live in the city. she says it takes about 50 bucks to fill her tank. can you imagine? i have an 05 pontiac g-am and it takes about 30 bucks to fill mine. i drive alot more than she does so what can you expect

i have a full size bronco cost me 86.00 to fill it and it is real bad on city driving
