start countin from when u started your last period, from when u finished your last period or from the day the baby is concieved (sperm meet the egg an all) i was discussin this with my family and everyone was givin a different answer so i still dont know :)

You start from the first day of your last period. Technically you should count 40 weeks later and that is your estimated due date. You are Technically pregnant for ten set of four week intervals so 10 months at four weeks in a month. This is the medical answere do not believe any wives tales.

Okay here's your answer. I have four kids so I know this for sure. Doctors count from when you had your last period. You would conceive two weeks after that date approximately. This two weeks is counted in determining the due date of the baby. So when you have a baby it is actually only 38 weeks old give or take a day.

I remember reading an article that the doctors count 1 week after the end of your last period and then project 40 weeks in the future for the due date and to determine when the person conceived.
