I strive at being the best at what I can do in the bedroom and I expect the same from my girlfriend (btw - no complaints here); but I was wondering what the Yahoo! Answers community feels about if the Man should have most of the skills, if the woman should have most of the skills, or if it should be a equal effort?
Going with that theme, should the Man perform most of the work, should the Woman perform most of the work, or should it be equal?

Quick note: this is for discussion, not suggestions for myself. Although they are appreciated, they are not necessary for my case.

Both!! How healthy would a sex life be if one person always out performs the other? Like, one person always on top or whatever...

It would also be very boring! :)

Equal in both areas. Sex is just like any other skil that you work hard at. I mean there are so many sex videos you can watch with new positions and books too that help. So I say its all in how excited and enthusiastic both ppl are at trying new things. Because the more open you are at doing things in the bedroom the more fun and enjoyment for both ppl. I have also heard its good to laugh. Not at each other but at yourself if you do something silly, it really defuses all the tension and seriousness of the situation. And sex is fun not a competition about who is doing all the work and who isn't. So have fun and don't forget to wrap it up.

I believe both should perform the equal amount of work. As for skills I think that depends on the person and how much "experience" they've had. I think skill level should be equal as well though so the sex is good and so there is no resentment that one partner is better than the other. .

I think it should be equal. What fun is foreplay if someone doesnt know what theyre doing? I think Im good in the bedroom, and Im also equally happy with my husbands performace, and we are very happy. I think it takes a good sex life to keep a relationship going, even though thats not what a relationship revolves around. So I vote Equal!

Making love is something you choreograph or keep tabs on as to who does what and with how much effort.

So long is both partners are loving and giving, that's all that matters. Some nights I give more -- other nights he does. Most of the time we are equally giving. But there is never a scorecard!

I guess it would be a moment thing. Some days my boo give it to me like WHOA! and I take it. Another day(or maybe a few minutes after I regroup)I give it to him. Advice: Be open to fun new things in sex. I will keep the fire blazing in the relationship. If u do everything all the time, u will grow tired of putting in all the work. That works both ways. Share the moment.

I think you are analyzing waaaay too much! Just go with the moment and let it happen. You can both use what skills you have and learn more to keep it exciting.

Good luck!
