It's necessary to reinforce their world view. This world view is patently anti-American and appears to be a kind of weird self-hatred. I think a lot of that crowd have severe personal problems that are being acted out in the public arena.
Your statements of fact are a breath of fresh air on this "forum" - thanks for the succinct summary of the Weak Sisters' positions.

Excellent question. I wish I could give you ten points for asking it.
The liberal democrats are so intent on positioning themselves to win back the presidency in 2008, they don't care as much about the soldiers as they pretend. They are just going to the usual targets to discredit the republicans, either the economy, war, social services, or the like. Anything that differs from their agenda is deemed an outrage and their media cohorts are just jumping to help out their political rantings.
Nobody likes or wants war, but sometimes you have to fight one. Maybe if Bill Clinton had actually tried to get Bin Laden after the bombing of the USS Cole, the 9/11 attacks may not have happened. Instead, he had a couple of missles fired into some tents, and said " We got him". Thanks for nothing, democrats
Their platform is ages old. SPIN SPIN SPIN

This is not so difficult a question as you may think. The bottom line is that liberals hate America. They hate any and everything that is good, decent and patriotic. In fact "patriotism" is a particularly vile sin in the twisted psyche of liberals---that's why it is impossible to be a liberal and be a patriot at the same time. The two are simply mutually exclusive terms. What have liberals contributed to the culture of America....that is besides the twin sewers of "political correctness" and "multi-culturalism"? Indeed it is the utter *destruction* of traditional American culture that liberals are determined to achieve. And the very IDEA that America should "win" any war against evil is anathema to them. After all, in the eyes of these traitors, it is America herself that epitomizes evil! Hating America is Requirement #1 for becoming a liberal.

We are past Iraq turning into another Vietnam!
The Bush administration was involved in the Plame affair, and one is charged with lying under oath! He is also a member of the White House who was a 2nd source for Plame!
What war effort?? Are you nuts! We have no business in Iraq! They were not involved with 9/11 or with terrorists, as the Senate has concluded, finally releasing a few documents which proved that Bush knew what he was saying was all lie before he said them! http://thinkprogress.org/2006/08/21/bush-on-911/
I think Bush had more to do with 9/11 than Saddam ever did!!
Sound's like you just want body bags to come home daily for the sake of us "hobbling our governments war effort"? WHAT war effort! There is no war effort!!! Where is Osama bin Laden and why doesn't your idiot president care about where he is?
"So I don't know where he is. You know, I just don't spend that much time on him... We haven't heard much from him. And I wouldn't necessarily say he's at the center of any command structure. And, again, I don't know where he is. I- I'll repeat what I said. I truly am not that concerned about him."
—Bush, answering a question about Osama bin Laden at a March 13, 2002 news conference.
Join the Army, kiss an IED, and get a free flight home while your good buddies will have cut your widows benefits from $25,000 to $13,000, while giving tax cuts to the rich!

I do not believe it is a liberal or conservative issue but one of ignorance to what is really going on in the region. True the pretenses for going to war in Iraq were misleading at best but regardless of the "how we got there" question, we are now in this unfortunate conundrum. There are a myriad of issues in the region to include the dominate power Iran and its allies, Syria and Hezbollah. We are in Iraq not so much as a military force but more of a police force performing mainly counterinsurgency operations (similar to NATO in southern Afghanistan); needless to say, the US military is not structured as a whole to be a police force. The questions are should we just pull-out and potentially destabilize the entire region leaving the path open for increased Shia/Sunni conflicts over Iraq (its land and people) with a dominate Iran to lead the way? Should we just attack Iran and get it over with? Should we continue on the path we're on trying to bolster the Iraqi government while using diplomatic means to work around the Iran issues?

Well the only wire tapping I've heard of is in dubya's patriot act along with a bunch of other things that allow the gov't to void your constitutional rights based on next to nothing. As for the blame game, the republicans are right down in the "blame game **** pile" with them. I think theyre more concerned with the fact that money is spent on a war aside from pursuing al-qaida or North Korea even, instead of spending on improving our homeland.....

Because they for some stupid reason still follow Clinton's idea: If you ignore the problem or talk peace, everything will be okay. Of course, if we were to lose the war then we would lose all of our weapons and our people would be too busy trying to survive to have time for sex, therefore they wouldn't have to worry about gun control and abortion. Sounds like their ideal existence to me.

Ugh, maybe because America IS losing the war? It has nothing to do with liberals, it's not like millions of libs gathered together to conjure a curse on US troops in Iraq. I mean we invaded Iraq in the name of destroying WMDs and after we realized Iraq had no WMDs, we changed the slogan and say we invaded in the name of freedom. 2600+ America dead and counting to "liberate" a small country from dictatorship. Half the world is run by dictators, what, you gonna invade China too? What's wrong with attacking the Bush administration? I mean, has he given us a reason not to?
