The large edges serve a shock absorbing purpose... sqares are also cheaper to manufacture, if you used circles there would be lots of wasted card...

Because If You Had Circular Boxes, You Would Not Have Anywhere To Save The Crust Till Last.

If you had a box to fit the pizza, then u wudnt b able 2 pick up the pizza pieces cus there wud b no room to grab the pizza and it wud all be very awkward. Plus square boxes r easier 2 manufacture and also u can fit little pots of dip in them like at dominos.

But does the pizza feel like a round peg in a square hole ?Probably not. I guess that it is primarily the ease of handling the boxes even when not carrying a pizza inside.

Because it costs more to make round boxes and it is easier to stack them together. If you have a square pizza does it come in a round box, lol?

Because square boxes are a lot easier to make. It would take twice as long to make a circle box and you wouldn't get your yummy pizza on time.

Well for one its cheaper...
plus pizzas are round and round boxes that fit the pizza size make it tough to pick up lsices whereas square boes will leave space in the corners and you can lift the pizza easily!!! ...my very own logic- cool na? :)

Why shouldn't they- Cakes and pies come in Sq boxes and they are round- Apples and Oranges are round, they pack them in Square boxes- besides they need the room on the sides and ends to pack the Peppers and sauce, and spices-

Good question!!!! I know they are round, but there are also square pizzas, but I would think that round boxes would be harder to manufacture. Thanx for making me hungry for pizza.
