I've shot one along time ago and it scared the hell out of me, i have kids now so i don't want them in my home.

You must be from Canada. Sure, in the little town where I grew up, in Oklahoma, boys were given BB guns at about 10, a shot gun at 14 or so, and by the time he graduated high school he would have a number of shot guns, rifles and pistols. Everybody, boys at least, owned guns and could hunt. It was expected.

Yeah my dad was in the army and he had a shot gun and a pistol. He sold it.

I use to own a pistol but when my son was born I got rid of it.
I still kept my shotgun for hunting tho..

i once got to do target practice with a rifle. it kicks back pretty hard and hurts your shoulder. my aim sucked so i havent used a gun since that
