no. plain and simple, no. he may not be the greatest singer in the world, but he has great songs when you really listen to them on a more scientific musical level. im talkin about the playing of the insturments and the actual music. its kinda like the deal with rap. when it comes down to what music really is, you realize how much rap really sucks. theres no tallent. you just copy a beat from something that already exists and start saying things that rhyme about cars, sex, drugs, grills, etc...

thank you,

Bob Dylan is a brilliant lyricist and songwriter, and if he just stopped there, I'd give him kudos for that -- that is, if he just wrote for other people. However, when he sings, he sounds like Tom Petty getting suddenly hit by a bad case of hemmorrhoids... nasal, and too much swooping from note to note rather than nailing each one exactly on key. Drives me nuts, personally. I don't like singers who sound like each note catches them by surprise and they dont' have time to QUITE make it up or down the scale to hit that note.

NO - if you don't find anything to your liking on the newest album (or, given that you're asking the question in the first place, the COMMERCIAL for the newest album), dig back through the man's 45-YEAR CAREER AS THE WORLD'S GREATEST LIVING SONGWRITER - open your mind & don't be surprised to be surprised, delighted, and moved.

He's a classic!!! Any one who can write a song about getting stoned and calling it "Rainy Day Women" is awesome! He also once said that he did not need voice lessons. Well, although his singing ability is doubious, he's made millions doing it, so more power to him. I like him
