Have the Colts put together the combination they need to make it past the first few rounds of the playoffs, or are they still missing a piece or two?

Please make your case one way or the other.

The Colts will never go to the Superbowl with Peyton Manning at quarterback. He is the second best quarterback in the NFL when things are going his way, but when he gets hit or the refs decide to let the opposing teams play tackle football he crumbles and throws over his receiver's head's or into the ground at their feet. When things get tough on him he switches his focus to flapping his arms at the officials and pouting like an 8 year old. He's won one-side games against good teams (like the one time he beat the Patriots) but he's never won a close, gut-check kind of game against a good team to get into the playoffs or during the playoffs.

When the chips are down great quarterbacks stand up, brush off the dirt, keep their cool and find a way to lead their team to a win.
Unitas did it,
Otto Graham did it,
Bart Starr did it,
Bradshaw too,
Elway could,
Montana and Brady do it the best.

Peyton never has. He's a regular season, fantasy-stud tin-man with no heart. Peyton's a fraud.

They have the piece in place to make the Super Bowl. Last year was the year they should have gone to the SB. They were very close to beating the Steelers in their playoff game, but couldn't get over that hump. I do not see the Colts in the SB because they just can not win that big game. Maybe they need a psychologist or something, because they really do have the talent to make it to the top, but seemed doomed to be a runner-up type of team. I'd like to see them in the SB, but Peyton seems to be jinxed in the big game. He may end up as one of the best QBs to never make it to the SB.

Here is my objection opinion on the Colt's chances for the Super Bowl. I think they do have a chance at the Super Bowl but their window of opportunity is closing. Payton is getting older and he has a lot of questions on whether or not he can win the big game or for that matter get your team to the big game. He seems to fold up like a tent when then real pressure is on like a playoff game.

Another thing going against the Colts is that they are going to regret not resigning Edgerrin James. Unless Addai can prove Polian right by letting him boogie, they will be a one dimension team and being a pass happy team is not what you want to be.

I believe they could. With a guy like Peyton at Quarterback anything can happen. Surround him with Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison. You got yourself a great offense. Also the Colts D just keeps getting better. Dwight Freeney is one of the best defensive ends in the league. I believe once they get the running back situtation fixed they will be right on track for a super bowl.

In the history of the Manning Family, they have one just one-playoff game, no bowl games, and they have never beaten a rival in collage. I would think that Payton and the Colts with go undefeated until they meet the Texans and then lose 50 to nothing having there egos smashed they return home for a playoff game against the Bengals and lose. The team itself blames the coach and fires him.

Peyton's a great quarterback no doubt about it, but he suffers from the Marino syndrome. All stats, no ring. Maybe teams with guys like that expect the QB to carry them and don't play up to their potential.

Unless Manning is going to retire or Manning is going to be traded... along with Brett Farve to the Minnesota, Vikings.

no! It is no doubt that Peyton Manning is one of the best QBs in NFL history, but he can not handle pressure. Whenever he is put in a stressful situation he fails. Look at his record in Foxboro!!

Yeah sure why not? accordingly to the so-called analyst, they would have won it every year for the last 5-6 years. Truthfully. I highly doubt it. I am trying to worry about a back to back winning season in my team.......Go Falcons...... Run Vick Run Cause you can't pass. W's are the only stats that count baby!!!!!!!!!
