My doctor says it's normal and i'm fine. Had 2 ultrasounds and heard the heartbeat. How normal is this really? Anyone else had this or know someone who has?

Brownish discharge...may indicative of altered coloured blood which is seen during pregnancy if....1) Ectopic pregnancy(pregnancy outside uterus) 2) Missed Abortion 3) Incomplete abortion.

NORMAL ULTRASOUND RULED OUT ALL THESE mishaps...so dont worry..Follow advice of ur doctor...If you have lower backache with passage of clots...then it may be reason of worry and should be investigated.

One possibility may be Excessive vascularity of CERVIX causing slight oozing of blood which is harmless condition.

I was researching pregnancy on the internet a week or so ago (thought I might have been and wasn't) and I read in several places that a brownish discharge is fairly common and not anything to be concerned about. If it gets worse, or you begin to cramp, call your doc and let him/her know.

If your doctor says it is fine, then you shouldn't worry about. I never experienced it before. With your past miscarriage (sincere condolences) everything should be more of a concern with your doctor. Just make sure you take care of yourself and don't over do it and share with your doctor any other changes or concerns. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Best wishes!!!

I had some spotting also, and freaked out. Almost every mom I asked about it had also had some, in varying degrees. As long as there is a heartbeat, you are okay. Hang in there, it's really stressful, I know!

i don't think there is any need to worry. when i was pregnant i bled as if i had a period well into my second trimester. sometimes when the pregnancy is new there is bleeding because the embryo is burrowing itself into the uterus. if your doctor said it is ok and there are no cramps i wouldn't worry. you sound fine and let me tell you that i have three "bleeders" to prove it. good luck and enjoy your pregnancy as much as possible.

You may even see a pink or red tint. Its normal. Whats not normal is full on bleeding. You will see this well into your 3rd trimester. Congrats and enjoy being pregnant.
