well if your talkin about your child then i would have to say no, they are to little and the skin will stretch when they grow and the tattoo wont look good,, you legally can if you sign a waiver but i dont recommend it,, that is what temporary tattoos are for, they make some just for babies,, i have 7 tattoos and wont mind at all if my kids get some

Most places will not tattoo anyone under the age of 18 even with parental consent. I suppose this is a good law for people like you!

I dont think thats possible, at least not professionally, and honestly I dont know why you would want to, thats something the child would have to live with for the rest of thier life and I dont think it would be a very safe decision!. A tattoo is not for a baby!, unless it's a temporary one.

You probably can (reputable shops wouldn't do it though) but putting a tattoo on skin that is undoubtedly going to stretch is a BAD idea. whatever it is you feel you have the authority to permanently brand on your child will get very distorted an it will look awful. for the rest of that poor child's life. do the baby a favor and wait until he/she decides to do it themself.

I certainly hope that no one in their right mind would give a baby a tatoo. Don't you think you should let your child decide when old enough whether or not they want a permanent picture on their body. Think this through a little more.

I have often wondered this myself.

I would want to have my child's birthdate and hospital where they were born tatooed on their foot of some place as equally inconspicous. In case something ever happened to them they could find out who the child was and everything. Putting their name on them would be a little to easy for someone to use the information for bad.

I sure hope not. Why would you inflict that kind of pain on the think skin of a newborn??

Why don't you let him/her mature and decide for himself when he is 18.
