It's EVERYWHERE, isn't it? Do you think hip-hop will eventually suffer a backlash and not be the hottest music genre anymore? That happened to rock'n'roll in the past as well. And, if so, when do you think that will happen? (year)

I hope there is a downfall really soon. I can't stand rap or hip-hop!

as long as the big music corporations control the airwaves. hip hop is cheap to make, they can use the music from their back catalogs and have disposable artistes, (not artists) to pump it out. they don't need song writers any more who take the lion's share of the royalties. have you noticed how little music and fashion has changed since the late 80s. big business and MTV got into a nice comfortable and profitable groove

hip-hop has been going on since the 70's man and honestly to tell you the truth it aint going nowwhere. i can see my self as a grandma in my 50'-60's and still getting stupid to the music!

in this day and time hip hop is going no where gonna be when ,, hip hop evolved from rock n roll,

i dont see it slowing down anytime soon.
I know some of rap is good and some is bad, I enjoy the work of rappers like TUPAC and BIGGIE. todays rappers just brag. I like a real poet who can put rythm with words and a good beat. The only one i like right now is WYCLEF
