Make up a number, or a piece of baloney, and keep repeating, and suddenly some other doofus will repeat it, and then there are two idiots who believe it - then someone will quote them, and there you go - a useless, non-factual statement becomes gospel because people are too lazy, too quick to believe the garbage that they read and hear. 45 million at or below the poverty line... yup, and they were the only ones that we kept out of the 9/11 conspiracy because we didn't think they could keep a secret. What a crock - the left never gets tired of trotting out lies so that they don't have to show what a bankrupt, do nothing, corrupt agenda they have - this is so typical, and unoriginal...

In the last 60 years sence Roosevelt we have had
democrats for president:
Trueman; Democrat;4 yrs I think. Started or got us involved in the Korea war we are still involve in.
Isenhower: Republican;8 yrs; Brought an end to the fighting at least.
Kennedy;4 yrs Democrat; Involved the country in the vietname war. He was known as the most do nothing president in history until getting shot at which time the media blasting him immediately declared him a hero.
Johnson; 4 yrs; democrat; expanded the vietname war.
Nixon; Republican; 7 Yrs. began the process that removed the country from the war;
Gerald Ford; Republican;1 yrs(I think completing nixons term,)Pullin the country out of vietname.
Jimmy Carter ;4yrs; democrat; Made the country a laughing stock of the world. Known as a weak kneed country bunkin with out a backbone. under pressure from the small country's dictator gave away the Most expensive peice of property in the world"Panama Canal" with the gurantee that americans would pay for it for ever. without receiving benefits.
George Bush Sr. 4 years; Republican; Responsible for "operation Desert Storm" he led the move to remove Saddam Hussian from kuwait , but failed to follow suit and remove him from office which resulted in more millions of lives lost, but gave his son an excuse for war 10 years later.
Ronald Reagan; republican 8 years; talked loud, no action. main election theme was to remove that tin can dictator from power and take back our Panama Canal. (and it was ours) but he did nothing after election to the office.
Bill Clanton; Democrat; 8 years with nothing to his credit except monica, and he did open an office after his term in harlem . clanton will face history most known for being married to Hilery and attempts at sex with Monica. He was the the clown of the white house. he inherited the internet boom which lead to financial gain for many and loss of retirement and fortunes/lifetime savings for many. clintom was the author of the free trade agreement which distroyed most manufactoring jobs/plants/ retiremen accounts for millions and left Bush a miserable financial mess.
George Bush; 8 years republican; a drunken lush who inherited a war from his father. he did inherit the internet bust which was well in progress before he took office.
Democrats 22 years.
Republicans; 36 yrs
with all of the bashing of Bush there is very little chance another democrat will serve more than 4 years in office before being voted out by "republicans and democrats alike,
The Democrats have a personality problem as every Republican President elected must have a major democrat block of votes to win..

When you said "change for the better" I thought a real third party candidate had announced his intentions to run.
Democrats and Republicans are the same. They are like parents; ones a Mom, ones a Dad, they may not agree all the time, but essentially they are the same.
The democrats and republicans are equally bad. They are all about placating their political handlers and giving reach arounds to contributors. One party is not better than the other, only changing the system will change the situation.

God I hope so. It is funny because even Republicans stated this morning on the news the are on Democrats side. That tells you how BADLY "Dubya" screwed up. It is time for a change, and obviously Tweedle Dum..{AKA Bush"} and Tweedle Dee {Rumsfeld} are to hard headed to face the truth they are hurting the USA bad.
Be sure to Vote,we need to get the USA out of this recession Bush is starting.
Bush it to busy throwing away our tax dollars and fiquring out his next lie. He has no time for fixing any problems, only creating more.
During the past five years, the United States and many other donor nations pledged billions of dollars to Afghanistan, yet Afghans keep asking: "Where did the money go?"
Then he lied about so many things..what's next?
First we were told that Saddam had WMD, and that he even was working on a drone which could deliver a nuclear weapon to America. Rice said that we shouldn't wait for the mushroom cloud. Bush said we had to strike preemptively before a nation became an imminent threat. After WMD were not found, we were told we were bringing democracy to the country, by ridding it of a genocidal tyrant. Next, we were told that we were fighting terrorism over there so that it would not come to the United States. Then Bush and Cheney tried to associate Saddam Hussein with the 9/11 terrorists, so we were in Iraq to strike back at the 9/11 terrorists. Then we were told we were fighting to establish a "new Middle East" but that was not really defined, except as a place of modernity and "freedoms".. As of today, per Bush's most recent speech, it seems as though we are in Iraq fighting a global war on radical Islam. Who knows how long we get lied to,and what the next reason will be.....Do what Barbara should have made Bush Senior do-PULL OUT BUSH!!!
GET US OUT OF IRAQ!!!!!

Nope, and if the doofis-crats came back, they would not be what they historically were in the past. They have no defined leadership, and are busy tearing each other apart. You talk of financial ruin, that's exactly what you will get if you put them back in office. Take New Orleans for example!
I think 45 million, is a little much. Especially when I come across so many who refuse to work, and insist on a government hand out.

That's not going to happen. Remember Nixon and they came back stronger and meaner then before. They have the money and unfortunately that is the bottom line.

This Republican feels safe - as safe as one can feel with the world situation. I shudder to think how I'd feel if Gore or Kerry or heaven forbid H. Clinton were in office. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure the dems will be back in office because that is the cycle of politics.

Holly: i did my tour. It is senseless.
Hope he makes it safe.
I was awake when I saw mr. Bush putting together his "case for war" lies.
I watched it unfold and cursed him as his administration set the whole thing up.
When the U.N. said "no", I watched him lie to America as if they said "yes".
Watched Powell say "you will lose sir" and then go before the U.N. and lay out his "evidence".
Lies lies lies.
