I think its above average but I don't think that that means that you are overweight because I wear a sizes 9 and 11 and I have a really cute shape. The only reason I'm that size is because I have really big hips and thighs. But it just depends on your height and your weight for you to be considered overweight.

No, it's actually not above average, as the average size in the US is about a 12 or 14. I'd say it's a good healthy size, not skinny, not fat, just right. HTH : )

If you think size 8 is above averange you got it all worng.
size 1-5 is the stick gurls 6-10 good formed gurls. 11-15 i little over wieght gurls and 16+ are over wieght. Any way it depends on what kind of jeans you buy. Different brands fit good so dont and believe me when you go and buy a size 10 for example then go to another store and go and try on there size 10 it would be to small or to big depending on the brand and style.
Im a size 18
and its the same for me i can wear sizes15,16,17,18,and 20's it all depends on what kind of pants they are.
this is true for shirts too.

Being overweight depends on your height so there's no way to say for sure. But I think that it's more about how healthy you are than what your weight is.

Depends if you're in the US or UK....Here a size 8 is small, in the states it's about medium, or such is my understanding.
