That is until he says something the right agrees with? Noam Chomsky said that 9/11 conspiracy theories have no basis because of the amount of people who had to have been involved. There would be a leak somewhere and no one could keep quiet.

I'm not going to argue about my belief in the 9/11 Truth Movement, I just think it is funny that people are rallying behind this statement and give him sudden credibility.

It goes both ways: people who have taken his words as gospel are now saying that he is wrong, brainwashed, etc.

I just think the idea of 'you're my friend if you conform to my beliefs' is prevelant here. No one can think for themselves anymore.

It is just very funny to see one of your biggest allies basically call you a bunch of fools. It is good to see that though the guy might be a bit of a left wing cooke he isn't a total nut job. After all he holds the Ferrari P. Ward Chair of Modern Language and Linguistics and taught at MIT.

Besides, don't you think that if the government was culpable of such an elaborate scheme as the attacks of 9/11, they would also be capable of silencing all the dissenters who are coming up with the theories?

I've had the pleasure of seeing and hearing Mr. Chomsky a number of times at MIT. I don't think he is affiliated with any party. He is actually down to earth and for some one who is an intellectual he doesn't talk down to anyone. He gives his opinion but he never rams it down your throat. He is always interesting to say the least.

I disagree with most of his conclusions, but those who have had the pleasure of debating with him say that he is very intelligent and makes good arguments for most of his points.
