Drinks only...there is no set percentile, I have gone from no tip to 10% depending on how often they clear your plates and refill your drinks.
Completely self serve...the bus staff will not be depending on tips, they get paid their minimum wage. Similar to fast food.
Gratuity is based typically on the quality of service. If the bus person asks to refill your drink, or clears your plates with a smile, throw them a buck or two.

At a buffet I'll tip at least 2 dollars, but when I dine out its at least 5 because that is what waitress' live off of. I used to wait tables so I've been there. I actually clean our table myself...L.

If they serve you beverages and tag then the rule is $5, since they normally keep $3 and give $2 to the busser.
If you pay up front and get your own food and beverages then tipping $2 is adequate
If at anytime the server/busser is more than helpful.. adding a $1 extra is always nice

If I am waited on, I pay 15 - 20%. If they only bring drinks, I usually tip about 10%.

you need to go away them a minimum of 5% to 10% of the total invoice. this relies upon heavily on precisely how a lot artwork is executed with the help of the waitstaff. In some eating places, the waitstaff does little or no, like basically bringing sparkling linen and/or utensils. In different eating places, the staff brings beverages, and some orders from the kitchen right now.

15% always as a minimum. Short of the waiter/waitress doing something wrong.

If they serve drinks in a timely fashion, sometimes $2.00 per person at the table. If they only seat you, and clear your dishes, flat 3.00

It depends on how often the waitress comes back to remove dishes or to see if we need refills or anything. I usually tip 15%.

10% of the bill is considered the norm for a tip, but take in account on the level of service. This can be more or less of the standard norm. I hope this helps...
