take him out for a nice dinner, or somewhere where he enjoys to go. Plan it out and let him know that on this day you want to take him to this place.
When the day arrives - take him there and tell him what you are saying here (we're ok, living together, love each other, have a kid together, its now time to take that next step!)
Good Luck and remember if he truly loves you he will say "yes"!

Seriously a woman asking a man is not uncommon as some may lead you to believe. You might not want to come flat out and ask but you could take advantage of the jewelry counter next time you two pass one. You stop and look at the wedding sets and say, "Which ones do you think WE should get?" He might look at you funny but just keep going. Talk about how ready you are to devote the rest of your life to loving only him and how that it's really been on your mind lately. Likely he won't pick up on your hints right away but soon he will be more infatuated with the idea than you are (if, and only if you don't nag him about it... mention it in the store and move on) That's sort of how I married my hubby. We were at a flea market and I saw some engagement rings and stopped to look. He stopped and said, "Do you want one of those?" I said, "Yes, but only if I get to put a wedding ring behind it and one on your finger." He smiled and said lets look somewhere else. A few days later we went to a jewelry store and picked out bands and sent them for sizing. When they came back from being sized he did the one knee thing. I didn't mind knowing and actually preferred it to not knowing and not being able to choose my own ring. I think that sometimes guys can't tell you want something unless you tell them. Best wishes

This is some thing that the two of you should discuss, may be he has a problem about going to the alter, haven't you discussed marriage? There is a reason, and only you can find out, so ask. Don"t push him, find out what is the problem!! Or you could say can't we make this legal for our daughter sake? But I would find out what is the problem!!!

Tell him that you saw a beautiful wedding gown and you would love to wear it. If you were able to lie down and have a baby with him, why would it be so hard to let him know it's time to get married? You didn't do things in the right order.

If you want an open relationship, then you have to sit him down and tell him your feelings. Maybe he's thinking the same thing, Why is this woman not wanting to get married? Just tell him, whats on your mind.

Girlfriend you better make sure he do not got other women on his mind.My opinion is that a man is suppose to pop the question. In this case you wanna ask.I think you should see how do he feel about married people first.

You don't... Personally, I don't believe it's proper for a woman to ask a man for marriage. If he really loves you and wants to commit to you, he will ask you to marry him.
Besides, why buy the cow, when you can milk it for free? He has all the benefits of marriage now, without the commitment. What's in it for him?

Tell him that you think it's best that you make a commitment in your relationship, and find out where he stands on this subject, and that will give you all the knowledge you need to know.

Who says you have to wait til he asks?? I asked my hubby and we couldn't be happier. Although I really didn't "ask" him I just kinda brough tit up in conversation a lot until I knew how he felt about the matter and then I talked to him about actually doing it.
