Orthodontics (or orthodontia) is a specialty of dentistry that is concerned with the study and treatment of malocclusions, which may be a result of tooth irregularity, disproportionate jaw relationships, or both.

The doctors that work in the field of orthodontics are called orthodontists and they basically fix your teeth, put braces on and makes them look normal and nice again.

Orthodontics is a dentist who's specialized in the field of malocclusions, or irregularities in your teeth and jaw.
Treatment can be asthetic, as to help straighten someones teeth, or the treatment can be more practical, as to help someone fix their jaw so that they can properly use it.
