I have been spending a pleasant afternoon and early evening Listening to my collection of Tull albums (still a couple of albums to go yet) and can't make up my mind on a favourite, love them all. Have you got a favourite Jethro Tull Album?...sort of poll if you like.

I always had a soft spot for 'Too Old to Rock 'n Roll, Too Young To Die' although it is derided by many commentators.
But the best one has to be a toss up between 'Aqualung' and 'Thick As A Brick'.

Thick as a Brick, without a doubt. The most original album, and there's not a second of the music I would change. Just great tune after great tune. I think Tull were the only band with the gall to make a prog rock parody album in '72. Stand Up is another of my favorites.

Music always relates to our own lives, soooo....
STAND UP was the first one I bought (8-track)
BENEFIT was the first one I heard, so it's always been a favorite
AQUALUNG was flawless - still is - now playing my 11th copy
THICK AS A BRICK - perhaps the best album cover ever
LIVING IN THE PAST - expanded the pallette a lot
A PASSION PLAY - I loved it, my friends scratched their heads
WARCHILD soundtracked my first year with a driver's license
MINSTREL IN THE GALLERY - my first Tull concert ! !
SONGS FROM THE WOOD - my best Tull show (6mo. pre-album)
HEAVY HORSES - the album of one of my best years
STORMWATCH - another great album & show
UNDER WRAPS - my first Tull show in new sobriety
20 YEARS OF JETHRO TULL - my favorite box-set
after this point I'm afraid I become Another Old Guy W/ Misspent youth & newborn family - who know who Jethro Tull is....

That's tough to answer. Aqualung has all the hallmarks of a classic and is often considered a concept album but Ian Anderson has always said not. I love Thick As A Brick but I adore Passion Play. Argueably these three albums was Tull at their best and displayed inventiveness, drive and musical guts that many others shied away from, although they were always derided for it. I like Warchild and Broadsword as well and I often play We Used To Know over and over and over and over...............................
