Well Rob Zombies " The Devils Rejects" kind of had that tone toward the end of the movie.
In Sin City a character by the name of Marv is seen as the bad guy when the media tells the story but you cheer him on when he gets his revenge.

"The Siege"
It's a movie about a city, where martial law had to be enacted.
One of the Bad-Guy characters was the U.S. General who was forced to bring the army in to restore order. At first, he was totally against doing it; he cited the dangers it would bring, and the psychological effect it would have on the city. But he was forced to do it, and i think he got a bad wrap.
The U.S. general was played by Bruce Willis. Remember the movie?

Heat. This is the classic Pacino vs. Deniro movie, and I actually wanted Deniro to get away at the end.
Catch Me if You Can. I wanted Leo DeCaprio to avoid the FBI and keep working his way around the world conning everybody.
Suddenly, with Frank Sinatra. Even if he wasn't going to assassinate the president, I still wanted him to get away from the law.
