1) yes

2) no

3) Aussies like to think themselves as diverse in culture but are unified as "Australians" - think of the song that goes "I am you are we are Australians" - sorry i forgot it's name :p

4) Ausralia is a Commonwealth. The head of state is Joh Howard our PM. although the monarchists still hold that the Queen is our head of state (figuaratively)

5) Yes - Australians from other countries are proud of their background e.g. lots of the Italians, Greeks, Chinese etc. are still proud to be of Italian/Greek/Macedonian whatever birth/hertitage but are also proud to all themselves Australians. Aussies like to think of ourselves as a cultural melting pot and tolerant of everyone although this has not necessarily always held true (e.g. Cronulla riots, Pauline Hanson, Australian National Movement group and firebombing of Asian restaurants in Perth)

6) Western Australia but that would be a biased answer because i live there. PS: there are 6 states Western Australia, south Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, new south wales, Quensland and two territories Northern Territory and Australian Capital Territory where Canberra is

7) Yes and no. Many Aussies believe in "fair go" - feel that you deserve what you get. those that contribute to society deserve their income. those who live off government support (dole bludgers) are often heavily criticised by the media and there is kind of a stigma attached to that term. however, having said that, the government is pretty fair to those in supporting those who are actively seeking employment but have not found it.

8) yes i know my neighbour in case of emergencies, while i'mthey're away. I don't really mis with them a lot due mainly to age difference - but if i see them we say hi to each other

you're welcome

Salam Brother!, that's outstanding to hearken to that different converts even have moments while "BANG!", each and every thing is clever! i became listening to a radio interview on Glenn Beck, and he became interviewing a action picture star that had those days switched over to Christianity. i became inspired, because of the fact i assumed in God, yet I consistently felt an empty spot in me. I then went that evening after paintings to Barnes and Nobles to look for books. have faith it or no longer, i actually felt like something advised me and guided me to the area on Islam! i offered "Islam for dummies", and "The Koran for dummies" and that i blew by the two books in some week! i could no longer placed them down. I then did some looking on line, and located our Islamic midsection/Mosque in Grand Rapids, and that i made an appointment to speak with the Imam. He became a sort, delicate Pakistani gentleman, and after talking with him, I knew I had stumbled on what i became searching for. I did the Shahada that day. Now, i won't be able to say each and every thing has been roses for me. because of the fact of my vulnerable will, I even have fallen off the immediately direction a multitude of cases. I even have problems with eating, pornography, etc., yet I even have those issues because of the fact i do no longer totally supply myself to Islam, in that way i'm suffering. I want I had Muslim friends, and that i want I had a greater appropriate journey at Mosque, yet i'm what i'm, a MUSLIM and that i'm chuffed! desire that facilitates! shop up the religion Brother! Salam!, Hamed : )
