*sigh* maybe--depending on the man. personally i've found just asking doesn't do much good. However, showing them may. Like "honey" this is what I want for you to do: and pick up the shoes & put them inside the closet onto the shelf--seem stupid? Probably, but at least you'll get done what you want done. My friend (woman) asked her 15 yr old son to clean the foyer once, and came home & it wasn't done. She finally, (after yelling) showed him (my example above) he said--oooh--that's ALL you want me to do? Well why didn't you say so?!
So if its too much trouble, maybe you guys can cancel the cable & hire a housekeeper--because sometimes its the incentive that makes the difference :)

Are you talking about the guy that changes and leaves everything on the floor for you to clean up. I was 19 when I got married and that happened to me after a month, I told him I fired the maid so if you want clean clothes then they have to go in the hamper, or you will be doing your own. It took a week and he seen I was serious, and from that day on he never put anything on the floor again.. 45years ago.

No, everyone should pitch in and help keep the home clean...it is only fair. I hate when people don't want to clean up after themselves

You wouldn't normally think so but we must remember that sometimes men just aren't "normal" (no offense guys). Asking men to clean up is like them asking us not to shop. Its one of those "if I do this, she'll keep making me" type scenario.

I explained to my husband of 14 years that if he didn't, I wasn't going to force him to but to remember that when he needed me to do something for him. Its give and take and sometimes men like to take more than giving. I love my husband dearly but his cleaning skills lack the finesse he uses when playing his video games or doing something else he really likes.

You can ask but they don't always listen! The first time I met my husband I thought he had a science experiment in the sink. As for the fridge, well lets not go there ;)

No, but asking you to use English grammar, I think, is too much. It's TOO.

No. He can clean up his own stuff behind his @ss, just like you can do that with your own stuff.
