When I'm listening to my favourite music, the feeling is strange. Happy-Sad-Nostalgic...All my favourite music now is Canadian music, since I've been living in the UK. I listen to stuff like Tragically Hip and Avril Lavigne and feel homesick, but happy because I think of rediculously good times I had with my friends when we were listening to it. That's funny too, because before I moved to England I loved stuff like The Cure and Blur, now I think they're just ok. I need Canadian stuff, when before, in my innocent stupidity, I thought England produced the best musicians...I was wrong. That's maybe another question worth asking. How a big change, like moving to another country, can make you so super nostalgic, that it changes most of your tastes seemingly overnight. Case in point, I used to hate 'poutine', but now I get my husband to make it for me, just because it reminds me of home...Odd

A natural high to me,is reminiscing, thinking of something wonderful in my life that has happened.I used to babysit for a little girl i loved very much an whenever she was having a great time doing something new or being with a friend she really liked,i would tell her (or them)to stop a second, and make a memory. Its strange, but i do it myself all the time.Just take a second while enjoying something,to put a specific memory in my head.Years later,music,rain,whatever....will trigger that awesome memory and take me on a "natural high"reliving it.Great question!

When I hear my favorite song my mouth actually starts watering and I want tequilla! That's the honest truth.

When I'm eating my favorite food all I can think about is those grown kids of mine not doing a thing and me having to clean up after dinner. Used to be a joyful thing but not any more.

one word: comfort. something about those nostalgia triggers make you feel like, in that moment, everything is as it should be.
