Oh, there's always a chance you could die, but the equipment they use today is really well set-up. I did it last year and it was SO AWESOME. It changed my whole perspective on life! You have to be 18 to do it, because you must be able to sign a legally-binding contract that says you realize you could die and won't sue them for it. There was someone on mine whose initial parachute didn't deploy, but the back-up one came up just fine, and she did it again that very day. It is WILD. I definitely recommend it. You'll never feel anything else like it!
