Ohio State will win by 10 points (I have been saying this for weeks), last Saturday should have shown the entire nation this. Touchdown passes on first three drives, with little effort. On the first play of the second quarter they (OSU) scored their fourth touchdown. They (OSU) then started running the ball and pulling starters out of the game.

Northern Illinois may be a Mac team, but they have a good team. They will completely dominate the Mac, especially with the high caliber running back that they have. Unlike that team from "Northern where?" that the Limphorns played.

Should be an outstanding game but it will be hard for a Freshman quarterback playing in a national championship caliber game to be calm. Yes, Texas is the defending champs and they are at home and i think that will be the only advantage they have. Ohio State has two heisman canidates but Texas won that battle last year with their canidate and that is the missing factor No Vince No win. Ohio State by 3

Texas by 2 touchdowns.

They couldn't handle Texas last year in Columbus, they don't even sniff them in Austin.
Colt McCoy proved last week that he can hang on to the football well enough to allow the running game and the defense to win games.
Ohio State proved last week that their defense can't stop the running game, even against Northern Illinois.
It's still summertime in Austin. Jamaal Charles runs all over the Buckeye defense and Troy Smith melts in the heat.

I-35 North should be pretty empty at halftime so the Buckeye fans shouldn't hit much traffic getting an early start out of my state.

Hook'em !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ohiostatekid - Even you must realize that if he was the best running back in the country he wouldn't be at Northern Illinois. Jamario Thomas, North Texas running back, was the number one running back in the country 2 years ago and was hurt most of last year. If you get to claim the guy from Northern Illinois, Texas gets to claim him. The UT defense shut him down! How many yards did the little guy from the directional school in Illinois rack up against against the "great" Ohio State defense?

Texas will win this one. Ohio states diminished defense wont be able to keep up with McCoy and Sweed. Then you add a strong running attack to that and OSU will have big problems. Everyone is talking about how Texas has people suspended but that wont matter, those two are good but they aren't that big of difference makers. Yes Ted Ginn is fast and Troy Smith is a play-maker, but they couldn't get it done at the horseshoe last year, so why do people think they can in Texas. Close game will be decided by which defense slows down the other offense the most and home field advantage will play a role in that. High scoring i say in the high forties at least, and Texas eeks by a tough win.

I like Ohio State to win a offensive showdown. Can Colt McCoy keep up with the vaunted Ohio State attack????.....he tries, but comes up short.

Buckeyes take it....37-30

If anything, last week showed that even a team like lowly Northern Illinois can move the rock against Ohio State's "amazing" defense. If Garrett Wolfe can put up numbers against them, imagine what Texas will do.

And three TD passes against Northern Illinois is nothing. Comparing their defense to Texas' defense is like comparing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense to a pop warner team.

Ohio State loses.

Bad.

no question...Ohio State. Texas simply has nobody on defense to stop ted ginn from running all over them.

to Nuke Lefties and audemars....Northern Illinois has the best running back in NCAA right now. Not being able to stop the best running back in the NCAA doesnt mean ur defense sucks. i admit our rush defense was a lot better last year, but we still did pretty good considering we went up against the best running back in NCAA.

Ohio State will win this one. without a decent player guarding Ted Ginn because the CB got suspended for this game, Tedd Ginn and Troy will be the playmakers. btw, who is the starting QB for Texas again?

Ohio State will come out as victors and they will beat Texas 35-28

GO BUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, my sister's boyfriend is in a probability class in college, and he says that it's a 100% probability that OSU wins.

Ohio State 413, Texas 3.
