My initial reaction to her trying to qualify for men's events was, "Umm...there's a reason why there's a PGA and an L PGA." I thought she should at least master the women's events first. However, I've changed my mind. The only reason why men and women don't play together professionally is because, traditionally, women are much shorter hitters. That's why there are forward tees and back tees. It gives women an advantage in distance so they can compete with men, on average. Since Michelle Wie doesn't suffer from SDS (Short Drive Syndrome), there's no reason she can't or shouldn't play with the men. As long as she's playing from the same tees, and is playing competitively, then I see no problem with it. (For the record, I'm not a Wie fan. She's made some pretty arrogant statements regarding the LPGA tournaments. If she's going to talk smack, she better have the game to back it up. She's a big hitter, but there's way more to golf than just a long drive.)

If she were a lesbian, she'd be much more likely to hang around the LPGA.
Idiot, she wants to play with the men because that's a higher level of golf. Guys are stronger and can hit farther. If she can start making cuts in PGA events, think how dominant she'd be on women's courses.
My question is whether she tees off the women's tees for men's events, or if she has to tee off in the same box as the men.

She isn't as far as I know. Maybe she feels that segregating genders in sports in WRONG.
And what does her playing golf with men have to do with her being a lesbian???? Lesbians don't just hang out with men, we have female friends too. You sound a bit homophobic and uninformed.

i dont know if shes a lesbian or not but as for playing golf with the men could it be to show people that she can play as well as any man?people have the misguided idea that lesbians want to be men thats not true we just want to be women that dont want men lol hard for some to understand
