Well for one thing, once our society understands that all politicians "lie" or tell the truth without telling the truth, the better off we'd be. Our Election system is sham to this day. It's the only system (I'm aware of) that doesn't reward the winner by popular vote, but by Electoral votes. What's that you might say. Well, Electoral votes are based by population of the state, and from that population comes the number of Congressman. Each Congressman in a state equals 1 Electoral vote, ie. California has 54 E.V.'s and 54 Congressman. So, a candidate can win the popular vote in a state but lose electorally based off of districts won and lost. This system was devised in the late 1700's/early 1800's because at the time, the number of people that were literally enabled wasn't high and the voting process took longer because of the speed of transportation and information. It's 2006 and we still go by this system. With that said, is it possible to never have democrats control both houses? Absolutely.

Bush is privy to a great deal of information we do not have.
The democrats will have a difficult time taking the senate this fall, and have a better chance at taking control of the house.
I have no idea what Bush believes and neither does anyone else who is not one of his confidants. He may say that in the sense of promoting politics; it is not unusual for politicians to say such things. If he did say it, I doubt he meant "ever" in a literal sense, and suspect he was simply speaking of the fall election cycle.
He WAS a cheerleader.

He doesn't care about voting machines or votes or even the voters for that matter. He knows that the supreme court gets to decide the elections. So he has no worries!

He knows his people better than you. He knows we'll continue to support him and his efforts in the middle east. This will not require fixed voting machines. the utter stupidity of democrats will ensure a victory at the polls, both in November and in '08.
See ya @ the polls!

I wanted to say that Bush probably knows less than most of us........
But, regarding the voting machines, maybe God (or Chaney) told him that adjusting to voting machines to benefit republicans was the best way to "stay the course."
