Ok, for me this is a no brainier but as this has just affected a friend of mine, I think it’s a fitting question.
Yes tell him as honesty is always the best. Why would telling him upset him? If you told him would your intent be to hurt him?
A male friend of mine didn’t know his ex was getting married until the month of the wedding. They spoke a lot and hung out from time to time. He even flirted and was trying to win her back, though she ignored his advances. He was more upset because he felt deceived. So I recommend expressing the truth so to clear up any misconceptions.

hmm.. do u speak w/ him often?
if u do, u should tell him gently.... and don't talk about it too much if he is truly hurt...*however*... u need to realize that if he still has feelings for you, u shouldnt' be as close to him, or talk to him as much now that u are married to your Husband. u need to focus all ur time and energy on the man you chose to, and all the rest of the men, ESPECIALLY ones who still have feelings for you, should not take any of your attention away from him. already u are thinking of the Ex, instead of being happy about your future w/ the new guy.
the past is the past... he is an acquaintance now, someone who was part of your life back then.... do not allow negative things to impede your current relationship. this ex boyfriend, u care about his feelings, but he's going to get hurt Regardless... therefore, do not hide it, but do not speak to him too often anymore. it's just best for everyone that way.

A very good thing to ask yourself:
What good would come of it?
You obviously can't keep it a secret, but there's no reason to seek him out just to tell him. Time will help soften the blow when he does find out.
If, on the other hand, he asks you why you can't get back together, don't lie to him - just don't hurt him intentionally ... there's plenty enough of that in the world already.

Well it's never good to hide things from people sooner or later he will find out you got married he may see you out somewhere and see your wedding ring or if you put it in the newspaper your name and the man you married his name will be in the paper and if others know it will go back to him I would be honest with him if I were you

Yeah cause u are married and shouldn"t be talking to your ex- boyfriend anyways.What do you think if your husband found out that you were still talking to him.Believe me you wouldn"t be married any more.Think before you say or do any thing.Do you really love your husband?If so stop talking to all your ex"s now!!

Do you still have regular contact with him? Why would you even care? You got married and hopefully to the man you will stay with forever, ex's don't matter anymore. I'm sure he'll hear it through the grapevine

i think that if you and your boyfriend are really cool then yes the best way to keep a relationship going is to be honest and open and if yall are friends then there should be no reason for him to get hurt like thats real talk..
