I understand his perspective searches for a path based on renewal and self peace. Can you tell me more and what is good about his approach compared with a Western perspective? Thank you all so much :-)

Do you mean Krishnamurti? How about borrowing or buying "The Penguin Krishnamurti Reader"?

I think you will find he believes that happiness comes from within, from our state of inner peace vs turmoil, and from desirelessness, and is attainable.... which is true to my own experience.... whereas Western psychology tends to assume that happiness comes from fulfilling our desires (never more than temporarily true) and focuses much more on unhappiness (and, especially in America, on so-called "Disorders").
