The nurses and doctors keep telling me different things and my labor (as the hospital called it) is stopping then it will start back up after i get some good rest. Is that normal. And if its not labor should i be getting a bloody show?

Completely normal. Bloody show is caused by dilation of your cervix. There are some blood vessels in there that can bleed a little. Bloody show is a good thing. I had "false labor" three times in the two weeks before my son was born. Labor can start and stop multiple times as a sort of trial run before the real thing. Just try to hang in there, it shouldn't be much longer.

That means your mucus plug came out. You are near labor. You could either have your baby this weekend or this week, but it will happened soon. Just get a lot of rest. If you feeling pain in your lower back or stomach - those are most likely contractions. You will be able to tell. Some people go 2 weeks with being 1/2 cent. dilated. Others, you can give birth within hours. It's different for everyone. Good luck and congrads on your new life!

Sometimes Dr.'s and Nurses don't know crap. I have had 3 children, and all of the labors were very different. My suggestion would be the following: Keep yourself hydrated, elevate your legs 12'' above your heart ( increases blood flow to your heart), rest, rest, rest, and ignore chores. Depending on how many weeks you are, your body is obviously preparing for birth, it's just taking it's time. Keep in mind, alot of these Dr.'s are YOUNG, and have never had there own children, but there telling you your not in labor...GO FIGURE!! (;
Also,keep someone on stand by who can take you to the hospital when you feel you should go. Good luck, and congrats.

It seems such as you're already in exertions, merely the very early tiers. many times * lively exertions will initiate interior 2-3 days of a bloody coach because of the fact it ability your cervix is dilating. So, shop song of your contractions. while they get to be 5 min aside for a million min in length for a million hour, visit the wellbeing midsection. My exertions began as gentle era like cramps each and every 10-12 min or so.

I understand completely about the smart!@# on this site. I hate to hear you are going thru that, if you are far enough along maybe the doc can induce you just try to ask him and see. my doc likes to induce at 37 weeks if you are dilaed 1 cm.
