Honey, if you do not put that baby in the crib now, you will be sleeping with her until she is 10.

A baby can sleep in the crib alone in a room from infancy as long as you have a bumber and a monitor.

The earlier you introduce the seperation and independece at sleep time, the easier your life will be.

I moved my first one at 3 months. It seemed like long enough since he was a preemie. My new one is one month, and it will definitely be sooner this time as he is very aware of his surroundings. I want to move him before he realizes he's being moved. I'll put him in his baby bed while he is awake at first, then for naps, then start using it at night as well. This will get him used to it slowly. I think it depends on how alert your baby is, but don't wait too long or it will be a more difficult transition.

I hope this helps! Good luck!!!

Yep, this is a good time to move him. The later you wait, the more difficult it will be. We had no trouble moving our two-month-old to the crib at night when he was four weeks old, but now I'm trying to move him to the crib for naps and he is NOT cooperating at all. Do it now before he starts to protest the move.

I put my son to bed in his own crib when he was 1-1/2 weeks old...at 2-1/2 weeks he was sleeping through the night.

It's been a good time since you brought that bundle of joy home to place him or her in there own crib. I have 3 babies, and I have put my babies in the bed w/me, once I rolled over on the baby and was blocking her breathing, scared me straight. Put baby in there crib, it's the safest. It takes time and patience once you already started putting them in the bed with you, there use to that intimacy between mother and baby, or Daddy and baby, but you should put baby in there own bed. Good luck, you've probably created a little monster! (;

If your baby is too big for the bassinet, then it's time to move him to his crib. They have pads you can buy that have sides to keep them from rolling over, since babies should always sleep on their backs to prevent SID's. I used them for my daughter and I think they made her feel snuggled. They say babies like that.

Although it was very difficult, I moved our son to his own room at 7 weeks. I had returned to work and it was hard to get ready for work and not wake him so it was the only solution. He did very well with the transition and probably even sleeps better in his own room. Good luck!

Yes it is a great idesa, trust me I had 3 and never put them in their rooms becasue I would feel guilty so I would have them sleep in my room, now they are older and refuse to sleep in their own rooms. I think it was for my needs and not my babies. If you feel unsure about leaving him alone in his room use a moniter, they even have camera ones to put you at ease. good luck..
