Those of you who have read my questions, you'll recall about a month ago I said that Republicans would be using FEAR and SCARE to manipulate America into their votes. I said the terror alert system would make a comeback, some so-called terrorist plots would be busted just before voting begins, and that Bin Laden would conveniently release a tape around election time.

DAMN I'M GOOD!! Are we being duped by Republicans by using terrorism for supporting them? Are mind games being played on us so we vote Republican? Is SCARE tactics being used to frieghten the crap out of us just before elections? Is this the "ace in the hole" the Republicans are imploying. And are any of you buying this crap?

Nope, not buyin' it. I'm not surprised either. It seems like you can't hide from the Prez. and terrorism lately. On a cynical side note does anyone else wonder if this sudden decrease in gas prices ( 30 cents in the last few weeks around here ) will last beyond the November elections?

ok, i imagine you assert that you're extremely joyful with the commercial gadget how that's been less than Bush those very last 8 years and also you desire more beneficial because authorities should not be fascinated about something and we must trust the folk to do what's ideal and maximum proper for the country. you won't be able to blame the bail out on Obama no remember how complicated you try, it change right into a need by using Republican coverage of no guidelines and no oversight.McCain and Obama voted for it as did many of the politicians in touch. Obama is amazingly open about his guidelines and what's necessary to assist the country. McCain relies upon upon lies, distortions and hate because he has no coverage.

Global warming is a democratic scare tactic aimed at getting people to vote for them.

Reminding the populace of the threat posed by islamic Jihadism is a responsible thing for the government to do.

Schmucks like you are concerned with nothing less than seeing this country lose another war.

Fortunately, as 08 will bear out, y'all count for nothing because y'all are good for nothing!

your sources are invalid as the site is completely biased towards the republican party, the war and American in general.

Just face the fact that **** happens. We are on alert because of terrorism. More than the last bust in England has happened. We don't hear about any of the other busts either. I can recall right now at least six plots stopped inside the US. But you want to sit around and say it's all a scare tactic...whatever.

Your conspiracy theories only appease to the ignorant.

"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."

Of course they are. That's how they get support. They create probems, and then they "fix" them to show how righteous they are. Using religious faith is one way to control peoplle, but fear is much more effective. Why do you think Hitler or Saddam did it? This is just the Americanized version, that's all.
The current administration has us citizens more divided than ever before. They have is believing that those of us who question policy are unpatriotic, and it "us against them" in our own country. I was always taught not to judge based on belief, but rather on actions. What happened to that? So far, our presiden't "beliefs" seem to be in conflict with his actions, and it lacks credibility.......
Wouldn't it be TOO inonic, if just before the next elections, Osama bin laden were caught? Hmmmmm.......

On a related note:
They think that is this day and age of technology and intelligence that we "don't know of his whereabouts". Of course they know where he is. They are saving that info for when they need it most.
I am not saying wars or terrorism are not real, but if you don't shoot bottle rockets at a hornet's nest, you don't usually get swarmed. Think about it.
most other countries that hate us, do not hate us out of jealousy. They hate us for our imperialistic and ethnocentric attitude. Our culture promotes individualistic thinking, rather than collectivist thinking. They hate that, and they hate that we cannot seem to respect their way of life.
We would be ignorant to let a few extremists define the thoughts of whole countries (terrorists). Most of their citizens do not follow those thoughts, and they are just as annoyed as we are, and annoyed at us for letting those extremists define our prejudices.
The answer lies not with forcing other countries to behave exactly like we Americans do, but rather in respecting they way that works for them. We would have more support and respect from them if we left them alone.

Ugh. We've answered this "question" before.

"Terrorists? What terrorists? There aren't any terrorists."

Have you heard of the Democratic scare tactics on the issues of Social Security, Medicare, Global Warming, tax cuts, welfare. etc. etc.?
