I was induced with my second child (was very happy). I was stuck at 2cm FOREVER. My doctor gave a day, we called in that morning, they said it would probably be noon due to other births, they gave us a call back and we got in that day. You will sometimes have to wait due to other emergency or non scheduled procedures. After starting the medication at about 12:30 I started dialated very quickly and had a very smooth delivery (drug free) by 5:30pm. Good luck with your delivery and best of wishes to you and your family. :o)

MY doc likes to induce his patients at 37 weeks but only if you are dialated at least 1 cm so i think you are fine, i had an induction with my first ,started the pitocin drip at 10:30 am got my epidural once i got to 4 cm then she was born at 5:45 very easy all thoether only 7 hours so dont be scared the doc know what he is doing. ni am 35 weeks now and i cant wait til my 37th week to get him here.

I was 3 cm when they sent me to the hospital at about 7:30pm. They broke my water at 9ish and gave me pitocin for stronger contractions and I had the baby at 3am. Everyone is different though. I am 37 weeks now and hope they induce me this time too if I dont go into labor in the next few weeks.

It depends on the hospital. If it is urgent, they can do it the same day. If not, you will probably be able to schedule a day/time that works well for you and your doctor. Depending on how ripe your cervix is, you will either have to go in the night before for some cervical ripening stuff or early in the morning if they are just starting with the pitocin.

Best of luck for a smooth labor and delivery and a healthy baby!

First of all, just because the doctor says you are "due" on the fifteenth, he wasn't there at conception. ONLY induce if not doing so SERIOUSLY threatens the health of you or your baby. Don't subject the kid to any more chemicals then need be.
