When I lived in Cincinnati OH, we were told to never go behind the "old building' on the school ground. There, you would be sure to run into a gang called the "Acey Duceys" who liked to beat up and kill little kids.
I know now that you couldn't hear the bell ring behind the building, so that's probably how the urban legend came into play. But from kindergarten to 3rd grade, you wouldn't find me behind that building under any circumstances.

Yeah, the story is we have a road where these young kids use to race at all the time they call it the death trap, anyways everybody and they're momma love to race on these roads.Well one night comming home from the prom the story goes two young couples was drag racin and the girls was outside of the car,one of the girls sister was at the end point were the race was suppose to end,and the car hit her and it drag her into the tree and the car caught on fire, and burned both of them up.They say when you go around the curb after 1 am you can see a girl walking on the side of the road in everything the young lady had on when she died. This was suppose to have taken place in1964.Alot of people have said to have seen her and some people have even said that she will come up to your car because it's at a stop light like a main intersection. They said she don't look spooky or anything just lonely and scared and confused. She was 16.

When I was allot younger we lived in Illinois we had one.It was a place called the Devil's Kitchen and it was only a little ways from my home.People said it was still haunted by those who had lived inside the cave during the Civil War.It was next to the railroad tracks and used by the soldiers to hop the next train. Sometimes you could hear the blow of a train whistle and see the lights from a torch bobbing along the tracks.I was 7 and it scared me at night to look toward the woods where the cave was.The one time we went there i was with my dad and I sliced my foot deep on a broken piece of glass as we left the cave.To me it was a sign that the spirits there didn't like visitors.

It matters who you talk to. Wichita, KS is either under the effect of the Witches of Wichita or the Moses Effect. For some reason really bad storms tend to split and go around the city. I kinda prefer the urban legend that there's a society/coven of witches which are duty bound to protect the city from inclimate weather -- especially tornados. Who wants to have one of those ripping through the center of your town!?
My old home town had the legend of Deer Lady who roamed near the cemetery. Talked to a coworker who was Cherokee and found out that our local little legend was actually part of the Cherokee mythology.

Yeah, we had this road called "magical mystery lane" where supposedly a bus full of kids stalled on the railroad tracks and they all died. Legend has it that if you put baby powder on the back of your car and stop on the tracks, little kids hand prints will be left in the powder. Apparently trying to help you get off of the tracks. I have no idea whether there is any historical merit to the story or not, but I always thought it was kinda cool.

Last Tuesday I was called an urban legend. I won't go into details, but it was the weirdest feeling.
Cool! And I consider myself the simplest person...

Yes, there is supposed to be a lake monster called the Ogopogo here. Many people think that it is actually a giant sturgeon, there is a one million dollar reward for its capture, but I don't think anyone will ever claim it.
