It's hard to find new comics anywhere but a comic shop anymore. In addition to new comics, a comic book specialty store may have inexpensive Spider-Man comics in a $0.25 or $1.00 box. You can locate your nearest store at:
http://csls.diamondcomics.com/
New comics are anywhere from $2.50 to $4.00, depending on the title. Many comic shops offer a small discount off cover (mine gives 10%).
For a 6 to 9 year old girl, check out "Scooby-Doo", "Powerpuff Girls", "Teen Titans Go", "Spider-Man Adventures", and any Archie comics such as "Betty & Veronica".
Have fun!

For a young'n? probably the Marvel Adventures line... they are for a younger group... They have a Marvel Adventures: Spider-Man.. Possibly Spider-Man loves Mary Jane. Though i have never read ANY of these comics, so any parent should read these first. Comics are no longer the same & are made for many different ages so caution should be taken with child that young. i also agree with tonyandterribecker those all seem like good children books.
Ways to get comics:
Online at sites like mycomicshop.com
official online sites for like Marvel.com & dccomics.com.. you can get subscriptions to comics
Grocery Stores, book stores, and comic book stores

I'd suggest the "ultimate spider-man" series If you want it for the stories you can find trade paper backs at a lot of libraries. If you want some to keep, the the comic shop will work or a books a million never lets you down. happy reading!

If you want to start a collection of Amazing Spider-Man, go on eBay. I'm not sure you realize how expensive some of the older books are...even some of the newer ones. Most of the issues from the 60's-70's (in good condition) are around $100 a piece. The very early issues are in the thousands.
