Given that Osama Bin Laden has not been found, that terrorism flourishes five years after 9/11 and there is an identifiable enemy who openly wishes to harm us, should all countries who have troops in terrorist ridden hotspots withdraw them and those countries be carpet bombed or nuked? Is it time to hit them with the big stick?

The hotspots aren't hidden. Intelligence knows which regions to hit. You need to think Nagasaki after Pearl Harbour.

No he is saying that we should make them STFU. Did you see how fast Japan shut up after we dropped 2 cities?
Terrorists are like children. They will push the envelope and do as they please until the right kind of discipline is used. Right now we are making them go on time outs.
What needs to be done is get the belt and give a good *** whoopin and let them know we ain't f'n around. The mid east could flourish if they could let thier pride step aside.
Drop a bomb on Mecca and see what happens.

Osama Bin Laden has been dead for three years. The videos in which he is purported to star are using actors.
He was not responsible for 9/11, which was the start of the war on terror, and the start of the warping of the minds of people.
The biggest terrorist on 9/11 was Cheney.
All that has happened since then has been caused by people living a lie.
Additionally, war-mongering such as you suggest is no answer to anything, except to make the armaments, reconstruction, and oil companies rich

It is time to hit them with the big stick. I am from London and have been watching all the 9/11 Anniversary coverage recently and it scares the **** out of me. The koran is supposed to be an ancient refernce to what they should do. However they keep changing the rules by bombing our land etc.
Their no. 1 priority is to get our troops off their land. People from our country go to Iraq to fight for the enemy! They live amongst us and they dont even hide it.
What happens if England decided it didnt want any foreigners any more, would they like us taking to the streets of London and killing innocent people. I have many muslim friends and they are disgusted by terrorism acts. Why are we waiting for it to happen again.
I saw on the TV that a guy from paris trained terrorists and then went to iraq to fight then returned to paris. Guess what he got 15 years, what a joke. Do you think he is going to come out in a thierry henry shirt saying yeah i was wrong about all that killing stuff.

That's got to be a joke, right?
No way. We can't nuke whole countries on a continental land mass - i.e we'd nuke other countries too. Those countries aren't our enemies anyway.
We should stop giving Osama Bin Laden the power he wants by treating him as some sort of political bogeyman. That's what we should do.

Interesting idea, except for the fall out. Carpet bombing would work. They said on the news today that the norther part of Pakistan is now ONLY controled by terrorists, and that the Pakistani military doesn't even go there. THAT would be a good place to start. AS far as it being productive soil, it aint never been. It would be like carpet bombing Arkansas, before the Clintons got out.

our young men are being killed in country`s were the people hate western culture.(iran,iraq)in the quran it says(loosely)if u cant convert people with words,then try the stick,i looked into y there r shi`ites,and sunni muslins,the same reason as protestants and cathoplics (loosely)now if the muslims drive western democracy sellers out,they will then carry on killing each other,SO we should all pull alliance troops out and leave them to it,THEN, with all these extra armed forces back home(uk)we can then start rounding up the RAPISTS,THIEVES,PAEDOPHILES,ETC ETC that come here in the guise of persecuted asylum seekers and prey on naive westerners.NOW most of these first generation immigrants weere glad to come here to escape persecution,however a lot of second generation immigrants go away to train as terrorists so they can turn our country into the same enviroment as there parents fled,STRANGE PEOPLE HUMANS

It isn't any wonder why so called despot countries want nuclear power/warheads.. its time everyone had a big stick.... we might all be dead but we won't have one country telling us all what to do or they'll nuke us attitude....

Nuclear weapons should never be used against other human beings...terrorists or not. The biggest mistake our government ever made, in my opinion, is the use of nuclear weapons agains Japan...when in fact Japan was going to surrender anyway.

No, we need to kill the head of the snake. Iran and its Mullahs. Lets widen this war. Or better yet start really funding secret wars in Iran where we can look clean and assist the Iranian people in dispelling the evil that is controlling them.
