It's pretty crap. Most of it has fallen down or been turned into walls around fields. There are no walls, doors or windows anymore and the ground has been overgrown by grass, or in many cases, because the ground level has risen in the last two millennia, the houses are completely covered by layers of soil. And if you're expecting the original hypocaust system to still be in place you're fresh out of luck.
It's what a real estate agent would call 'a fixer-upper'.

Like most cities, posh houses above the city, some scruffy houses on the outskirts. High rises further out and larger estates out in the country. If you meant ancient Rome then it was pretty much the same with the exception of the high rises.

They were actually ahead of their time by building second story condos and such; unfortunately, steel reinforcement WAS NOT around then and during earthquakes, the houses would crumble in an instant.
