Yes, not only that, they count on it.
The saying in politics goes, "The masses are asses." They know you're outraged, they know you want change and they're going to give it to you by telling you what you want to hear.
Then once they are in office you get more of the same from the other guys. Both political parties are in bed with corporate sponsors and special interest groups. By the time they pass designer legislation to appease their handlers its too late to do anything about the real issues, like border protection.

I think the Democrats probably do believe that. After all, Americans have been dumb enough to believe Bush's lies all these years. In fact, some still do - polls have shown many Americans still think there were WMDs in Iraq and that Sadaam had direct ties to Al-Qaeda. So if the Dems have that kind of guillibility to work with, why not?

1) learn to spell the name of the country you live in.
2) all you need to concentrate on is making democrats and us Republicans both believe that you are not a dumba.s.s.
3) it may be too late for #2, concentrate on #1.

Haha! I believe that with the dumbing down of this country, alot of people will believe anything. For example the conspiracy theory about 911.

some Americans do believe their lies, im dont like democats much, but i'd rather be with them than beer drinking, deer hunting, chicken raising, rednecks... ahem... i mean, republicans with rotten lungs from smoking 20 packs a day. rednecks should... i mean, republicans should stick to watching nascar and away from things they dont understand, after all thats what nascar was made for, to keep redneck, ugh here i go again, sorry... to keep republicans ignorant. thank you :)

Bush was elected twice. I think that pretty much clearly says Americans (in general) are dumb enough to believe anything.
