Satyriasis owes its name to the mythical masculine creatures of Ancient Greece, half man/half goat creatures known as satyrs.

So it is derived from the word Nymph or feminine consorts.

Kamikaze Kid is absolutely right. Nymphs and Satyrs also followed the Pagan God Pan. He was a half man half goat centaur type diety of wine (among other pleasurable things). Lots of medical terms derive their origin from greek myths. "Hysteria" and "Hysterectomy" are two that come to mind.
