Well if you don't understand what I'm saying go get a Websters Urban dictionary it'll probably help you. This the internet who gives a f___ about being proper diction or grammer. I only do the proper etiquette thing on the job or speaking to formal people. So if you too slow to figure me catch the bus!!! Ayo Ayo Ayo Ayo dig it!! Us Black folk just express ourselves different!! So do any of you like what I said?

It took me twice as long to read your ramblings because of the way you put your sentences together. You can put me down because I put sentences together according to the English books I studied with in school here in the U.S.A. but I'll go further in life because I sound intelligent. You may be intelligent, but you sure don't sound it!!

first off, it's spelled "grammar", which I only know because my boss corrected me the other day, lol. that said, you're right, grammar nazies can be really annoying, and a lot of them just do it to show off how smart they are, in which case they need to shut up. but there is a reason behind the insistance on grammar... proper grammar ensures smooth communication, and that everyone knows what everyone else is talking about. it's like having everyone use the same math symbols. ya, if you were to use % to mean 'plus' and @ to mean 'minus', you'd get the same answers, but other people might not understand what you're trying to tell them.
anyway, I'm inclined to say that you're spending a lot of anger on something that, in the end, doesn't matter a whole lot. if you want to get pissed about something, how about getting pissed about uneven educational standards, or lousy immigration policy, or something that's helpful to the whole world?

you completely contradict your self by writing "First and foremost, I'm intelligent I don't need nobody to correct my english or grammatical errors. I did went to school....." I could go on, but what's the use? The entire thing is a mess of errors. I have no doubt in my mind that you "did went to school" but I think once there, you must have slept through all of your classes, or something similar....
please spare us any more slaughter of the english language. thank you

I think as long as you choose to ignore proper conventions you'll always be seen as ignorant and uneducated. Slang and ebonics are not proper languages. If you're truly black, it's stupidity of that nature which is responsible for the (mis?) conception that all blacks are stupid and uneducated, and even unintelligent.

Well, that plus the seeming inability to pronounce th work ask.

1) You are certainly free to speak however you want, but if you want to be understood, you need to speak the language of those to whom you address your question. 2) Why do you feel speaking on the internet excuses improper diction and grammar, which you freely admit you know how to use and do use at work and formal occasions? 3) Why are we worthy of less respect and/or consideration than your work colleagues and fellow attendees at formal occasions?

I like what you said fine. I just don't think that you really believe it. You should NOT care about what other people (especially people who you don't even know) think about you; only your own opinion about youself matters. But for someone who does not need to prove himself, you're trying awfully hard to do just that. Chill, relax, and don't take things so personally. You are the good person you are no matter what anyone thinks.
