If you're refering to the Voyages of the Mimi then yes I have heard of that, I've seen several episodes (in 6th grade). They presented science themes in the form of a show about a bunch of kids traveling on a boat called the Mimi with some old man. To this day I remember how to build a water distiller from plastic sheeting and sticks from that show.

I haven't seen the show yet but I'm going to see her Thursday in Houston. Go to http://www.mariahdaily.com/info/tours/taom/ to get info on every single date thus far. There's a setlist for every date (She changes the setlist up somewhat for each show), fan reviews, newspaper reviews along with photos and soundfiles from some dates. Hope this helps.
