A black man and a white man were talking,
The black man said to the white man;
When you are cold your skin turns blue,
When you are sick your skin turns green,
When you are embarrassed your skin turn red,
When you go in the sun your skin turns brown,
The white man says "so what is your point?"
The black man replies " you have the nerve to call me a coloured person"

I like black people, when I go on holiday I have to be careful with my skin as its very fair and I burn easy and get sore, but yes for a lot of people its very ironic that they are racist but want the same colour for themselves so they can brag about it to people.

Because these people are usually shallow, uneducated and ignorant. They believe that being 'white' is the best colour to be. After all black people don't have blood running through their veins, heart, lungs, liver, kidney etc do they? (By the way i am a white English girl - sometimes the attitude of others around me makes me ashamed to be white and English)

i have always wondered that, i think perhaps its not the colour of their skin, but where they are from but people catogarise this with colour, also i think the view of most people is white is to light and black is to dark therefore golden colour is the best hence the reason, people try to get this on there holidays! x

I got myself in trouble a few years ago for saying this out loud on a train. It's very funny isn't it. Just goes to show how stupid a racist is. From any race, we are all the same just born from different parents. We have no say on what we come out as. So there really shouldn't be a problem

Tanning is not an attempt to become "black", nor is it an attempt to change one's race, and I have no idea where you'd come up with such an assumption.
It has nothing to do with race whatsoever, just as dying one's hair or applying makeup has nothing to do with wanting to change your race. It's simply a matter of appearance!
In addition, most people who dislike those from another race dislike them because of attitude or actions or because they grew up in a prejudiced situation, not simply due to the color of their skin alone.

Maybe because if you dislike another person who is different from you (skin color, other hair, fat etc.) that means you are telling to yourself you are a better person. Maybe you just hide that you are insecure by putting other people down.

hi folks, discrimination is tribal and cultural, maybe genetic, also the reason y the runt of the litter is kicked out by other siblings.humans are tribal originally and attacked any other human not the same tribe ,culture or color, this is y the racial dicrimination act brought in by harold wilson will never work.then there are white/black people who try to convince themselves and others that they are not predjudiced by deliberately marrying(small `m`) a person of the opposite race/color/tribe/religion/color etc.a complex question.

This a silly question.
If people thought they migh go black by sunbathing, the beaches would be deserted.
People sunbathe to look a golden colour.
