I don't want to sound mean but I really do not want children of my own and I don't real care much for other people children (I don't wish bad on any of them, I just prefer that their parents keep them away from me) When I am in the store children would run up to me and smile I mean out of everyone else in the store why me. I mean why do they do that?

That's funny. Probably the same reason that a cat will climb all over someone that hates cats or is allergic. Just one of those things.

They like and trust you. Children have few alterior motives. You may not want kids, which is OK by me, some people aren't cut out for it, but what is this apparent dislike for them? They haven't done anything to you by smiling, perhaps some else has.

its probably because your attractive. Even kids know when people are pretty and when their not. Kids want to get your attention becuase you stand out in some way more than others in the store. It's really a compliment and you should be glad about it.

kids are in the most innocent form of humans. they are not yet touched by these worldly things such as desire, jealousy and all the other things that we have going on. may be you just look nice to them. trust me i am like that too. i wouldnt say i hate kids because i dont go around cursing at them or beating them but i dislike having them around. just be nice to them for a minute and next they'll forget you and walk away and not even look back.

Maybe you are just obsesed about it. My kid does that to EVERYONE, the thing is that you just pay to much attention to it
