There used to be a hole in the wall diner in Breckendridge, Texas...it was about 14 feet wide and about 40 feet deep and was located next to a furniture store on the main street. They made the best hamburger I've ever tasted! Grilled the onion, chilled the tomato & lettuce. To this day I don't know how they prepared their patties but I haven't tasted one as good since then.

Ramirez & Sons Taqueria on Alameda Ave. near Park St in Alameda Ca.
Great huge burritos. Excellent Mexican take-out. Small uncomfortable table for dining in. Crowded when the nearby high school lets out. Worth dropping by and picking up dinner (and lunch the next day!) to go.

you're in a position to discover some counsel contained locally newspaper. There can be a evaluation of a sparkling resturant that opened. One suggestion an older guy gave me once, replaced into bypass to the cafe with the most vehicles round it! The locals will bypass to those with the proper nutrients and value. you may also ask at a gasoline station, what they could recommend.

My family and I love Taqueria Arandas in San Antonio. It looks like poo on the outside, the furniture is all old and shabby, and the floor has more cracked tiles than whole ones. The food is incredible, the prices are very low, and the quantities always satisfy. Even my 15 year old daughter, who despises "non-American" food, loves Arandas!

P.S. My daughter gets mad when I remind her that spaghetti is Italian, hamburgers are German, sandwiches are English, etc.

The Country Comfort in El Cajon, CA. I eat breakfast there a lot. It's only open for breakfast and lunch. It has good quality food, at good prices. It's small, and has a majority of regulars.

Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles. There's one in Los Angeles, CA and another somewhere in Hollywood. Anyway, it's great and I highly recommend it. But only order the fried chicken wings because the other pieces of the chicken are dry, dry, dry.

La Posada.. in Austin, Tx
My dad introduced me to it and let me tell you, this hole in the wall, tiny resteraunt is now one of my faves. The food is cooked perfect and the margaritas are strong.. It's nice to see someone in Austin still values comfort food in a casual setting.

Bigdogz Grill.
It's in my hometown, Johnstown, PA. I really liked it, because there something for everyone there, and the prices are really good. It's a good place for a Friday night meal.
