The parliamentary inquiry did decide that the circumstances around David Kelly's death did not add up. The truth however is harder to get at - this is modern Britain after all. We don't believe anything this Labour government tells us any more.

Yes. The establishment was to blame for his death, but perhaps not in the way you mean.

There is no doubt this well educated and sensitive man was at the top of his profession, and, as such, was very knowledgeable about the goings-on in his department.

Unfortunately, he disclosed information that he was not at liberty to do so, to a source that was always going to betray him. When his bosses found out, he was treated appallingly, and their duty of care, guilty or not, was non-existent.

For this reason, he was made-out to be the fall guy, and took the blame for a lot of the governments mistakes, and committed suicide as a result of the pressure he was under.

A good man, treated with contempt by managers who if they had a brain cell between them, could have adverted this tragedy in its tracks!!

May he rest in peace, and although I have always be taught to speak no evil of the dead, it must be said that it appeared from the inquiry that he betrayed his trust and as a result, he unfortunately took his own life.............

Yes. Even if he did commit suicide, the government are still directly responsible for it, for putting him in such an impossible situation.
