We have the right to choose if we want or not have kids. There's nothing wrong if you don't want to. Having kids it's a huge responsibility. You need to be very sure if you are considering to have one. You also need to be physically, mentally and economically prepared to do it. A baby changes your life completely, and nothing will be the same. It's a big change, but for me it has been a good change. My son is the most beautiful creation, to me...it's just amazing, I can't even start to tell you how it feels.

i am a middle-aged woman (44) and i have one child. he is 22. i also now have a grandson. he is 2.

i definitely believe that some women aren't meant to be mothers. some women don't want to have kids and that is OK! just because we are women doesn't mean we HAVE to have children.

i love my son ... with all of my heart. i wouldn't trade him and all the horrible problems we have had for anything. however, if i had it do over again, i probably wouldn't have had children. it is an ENORMOUS job and a huge lifetime committment that not everyone is ready for or capable of following through to fruition.
