When mommy and daddy join together, they love each other so much that a baby starts to develop in mommy's tummy.

When a mommy and a daddy love each other very much (usually they don't actually and they get divorced later in 50% of cases, but this is outside the scope of the question) and they want to make a baby, well ...
Mommies and daddies have a special hug that they use to make babies.
In front, between his legs, the daddy has a long wobbly dangly thing called a "penis".
And the mommy has a funny hole in the front called a "vagina".
When the mommy and daddy have this special hug the penis goes into the vagina and gives out some special white stuff called "semen"
Not like the sailors that mommy likes - they're called "seamen"
Semen has special daddy-bits called "sperm" which are like wriggly things that go up and inside the mommy.
The mommy has special mommy bits inside her. We call this one an "egg" - a bit like the eggs that a chicken lays but much much smaller.
The sperm and the egg meet and join inside the mommy and form a baby.
The baby grows inside mommys tummy and when it is ready to be born, mommy knows and tells daddy to take her to the hospital.
Then after a lot of pushing (or pulling) the baby comes out, often through the hole in the front - the vagina (but not always).
And we hope the baby looks like the daddy ... not like one of the sailors ;-)
You should read this book by Babette Cole - it has line drawings of the special ways a mummy and daddy can hug each other!

And it got banned from my kids Montessori school :) Muahahaha!
