when politicians and others use the event to justify their own biases, prejudices, and personal agendas, expecially the current US administration?

Speaking of tragedies, does anyone remember the fire-bombing of Dresden or Coventry? Hundreds of thousands died in those and Dresden was completely unjustified; it was an act of revenge.

I think it shows disrepect for the family's of the victims. They are made to feel like the war is for them. Some of them have come forward to say that they don't agree with avenging death.

Here comes the conservative, religious, racist brigade.

Not always. Sometimes remembering an event like that helps keep into perspective what one is fighting for. Someone else brought up a good point when they answered this question when they mentioned the Alamo and the Maine. This is a good example of what I'm trying to say. Having said that I do have to say that the current administration using 9/11 to their own ends is disgraceful. It was 9/11 and the war on terror that was the justifucation for going into Iraq. Bush admitted not too long ago that 9/11 and Iraq had nothing to do with each other. He lied to get us into Iraq and he used the deaths of all of those people to do so.

i'll make certain why people would not want them to have more desirable care than different first responders besides the undeniable fact that the version is that 9/11 replaced right into a ****-ton worse on their psych and body compared to a classic homestead hearth. they have higher disadvantages of maximum cancers by using strain and the dirt they inhaled that day, yet in spite of the reality that, so do all New Yorkers. the first responders were experienced to handle that concern and others like it, the persons were no longer. they have placed out great fires, dealt with lifeless bodies, and saved lives, the persons have not. the first responders, in spite of the reality that heroes, do not want a lot more desirable help than the others that were in lengthy island that day and giviing such care to them and surely them is bigoted, giving it to each body is unethical. for sure remaining this kind of loophole might want to be fantastic.

I'm so hypersaturated with the 9/11 stuff. It is important to remember because it was such a tragedy. However, I am ready to move on with my life. Make it a memorial day and let people move on. The more we drag it out, the longer it takes to heal. It was sad, tragic, and a big awakening. But as long as we use it to justify our own means, we have learned NOTHING! I think we should get off of it and move on.

yes, especially letting Iran's leader and 123 of his group come to America without having to be fingerprinted or photographed like the rest of the world! why would the so called home for terrorism's leader be granted a podium to go around giving speeches about evil Americans just a few weeks before the anniversary of our most horrific act of terrorism in our history

Remember the Alamo!

Remember the Maine!

Remember Pearl Harbor!

What's new?

I guess you haven't noticed that the "use" of the 9/11 victims for propaganda, perpetuation of biases, prejudice and personal agendas GOES BOTH WAYS.

If nothing else, your question proves it.

Absolutely.

Absolutely, but it applies to EVERYONE. Not only or especially the current administration. (had it been dealt with in the previous administration you wouldn't need to ask this question)

Yes, and so does media hype for TV ratings and non-historically accurate blockbuster movies.
