If we (the British) had had a prime minister with the guts of Tony Bair when Hitler marched into the Rhineland in 1936 there would have been no 2nd World War. Sorry to confuse the many children with facts and who obtain their opinions from the biased Meidia. Public Opinion Polls! what a laugh!
Who was it said 'Better to die on your feet that live on your knees'. Sad but it seems so many of your correspondents would prefer the latter. As for you who declare that they are ashamed of England. I ask them 'what have they done to make it a nation of which to be proud?

He has highlighted the greatest mystery in UK politics - why the UK always kowtows to the USA in matters of foreign policy. Regardless of whether the government is Labour or Conservative we find ourselves slavishly (like poodles) getting involved in foreign affairs that the rest of the world say is wrong. I can only conclude that there is a government within every government who pursue their own agenda regardless of the electorate. Take a single example - the death of a totally innocent Brazilian man at Stockwell - that was an atrocious affair - but nobody has yet asked why this innocent man was killed if, after all, he was doing nothing suspicious. The UK loses credibility by such things. Rightly so. Time to consider that there is an agenda that is leading towards unaccountability on both sides of the Atlantic. A manufactured state of emergency which will bypass democracy and all democratic control. That is the danger and it is reason to say that Blair has presided over this change in UK society.

He's certainly reduced much of the UK to the modern equivalent of Sodom and Gomorrah. Throw in the simile that London and other parts of the country can be likened to the Tower of Babel and the time-bomb has been primed. I'm not sure when the explosion will occur, but occur it will, and this country will be demoted to a Third World level. History will see Blair and the Labour Party as what ruined Britain. Every word Enoch Powell uttered on the subject will come true.

We don't have a President, we have a Monarchy which is the Head of State, and the Queen has her own Government and the head of that is Prime Minister Tony Blair, and no Tony Blair hasn't brought hatred to England all alone, all the other parties are just as bad as one another, if Tony Blair wasn't the Prime Minister some one else would have done the same, they all as bad.

I think that Prime Minister Tony Blair has brought great shame to our country by supporting George Bush's evil policies. I am not so proud any more to say I'm British. I hope not too many people hate us because of this one arrogant one man. Remember, the majority of Brits disapprove of what he's done.

Hi shsimon, first, we call him the Prime Minister and not President of the United Kingdom. Yes, you are right. To a great extent, he has divided that Kingdom, mainly because of his close association with the current President (not Prime Minister) of the United States of America, George Bush! In fact Premier Tony Blair was instrumental in presenting a dossier to the world filled with full of lies about the existence of WMD in Iraq and the dire need to invade that country and oust Sadam Hussein!

As the saying goes, every dog has its own day! So, premier Blair has begun to count his days in No.10 Downing Street - the official residence of the Prime Minister of UK! It could end any day starting today!

Tony Blair will be the longest serving Labour Prime Minister EVER. He is the best one in my lifetime. I hope that he goes on to greater things when he hands over the reins next year. As for hatred - I suggest you ask yourself who brought the most hatred - him or the terrorists. You seem to have a short memory.....

Unlike the idiots here who think it's 'clever' to 'educate' you by telling you he's a Prime Minister - I know exactly what you mean. The guy has been a liability since day one, his policies are ultra-authoritarian and run counter to many of the British peoples sense of fairness. I think the hatred here he has created in society has just been echoed abroad against us.

That's Prime Minister Blair and no, he hasn't. He did the best he could with what he had to work with. Unlike our actual president who used circumstance to profit and abuse the very people who voted for him. TWICE! in the hopes that he had some plan to fix what his father started... He had no plan but his own agenda. Thank God he is out of office soon.
